To the Lawrence Heritage State Park

From Salem, MA: Rte. 114 west to Rte. 495 north

From Boston: Rte. 93 north to Rte. 495 north

From Portsmouth, NH: Rte. 95 south to Rte. 495 south

From Worcester, MA: Rte. 290 east to Rte. 495 north

From Route 495 north or south: Take exit 45 (Marston Street). Take first left onto Canal Street. Go straight through lights then take second right onto Jackson Street. The Visitors Center will be on the right. A small parking lot is located in back of the Jackson Street Visitors Center on Mill Street. In addition there is a private parking garage on Appleton Street (one block west of the Visitors Center). The park is also accessible by bus and train from Boston. Call the park for train schedule (978-794-1655). The park is handicap accessible.

From Salem, MA: Rte. 114 west to Rte. 495 north

From Worcester, MA: Rte. 290 east to Rte. 495 north

From Route 495 north or south: Take Exit 45 (Marston Street). Take first left onto Canal Street. Take the first right onto Union Street. Take the second left onto Essex Street. The Lawrence History Center will be immediately on your left on the corner of Union and Essex Streets. The building is a large brick building with the signs "Essex Company" and "Immigrant City Archives" out front. To the right of the main entrance on Essex Street is a small red-gated courtyard where there is limited parking available. Metered parking is available along Essex Street in addition to a private parking garage on Appleton Street four blocks west of the the Lawrence History Center.

 

The Lawrence History Center is also accessible by commuter rail and bus. Visit www.mbta.com and www.mvrta.com for bus and train schedules.
